Selena Gomez Says She Misses BFF Nicola Peltz Beckham: ‘Proud Friend’

Selena Gomez and her BFF Nicola Peltz Beckham are starting 2024 off apart — and they’re sad about it.

On Friday, the “Single Soon” singer, 31, posted a throwback image on her Instagram Story showing her celebrating the 2023 new year with Peltz Beckham, 28. She captioned the picture, which featured the pair dancing together on a boat while wearing white, “Miss you.”

In another story slide on Friday, Gomez reshared the Bates Motel actress’ post about her upcoming film Lola, which is her directorial debut. She captioned the story, “Proud friend.”

“𝓛𝓞𝓛𝓐 comes out feb 9 🎀🩷 and my trailer drops next week 🥹🥹. So excited to share it with you all — this film is my whole heart. I hope you enjoy 🎀🩷,” Peltz Beckham wrote in the caption of the post, which featured a still image from Lola.

Gomez and Peltz Beckham were last seen together on Dec. 3, when they attended the Academy Museum Gala with Peltz Beckham’s husband, Brooklyn Beckham. The ladies, who met at that same event in 2022, were attending together to celebrate the anniversary of their friendship.

Although they’re relatively new friends, they’ve already spoken publicly about the depth of their bond.

In an Instagram post reflecting on her New Year’s holiday with the couple in January 2023, Gomez jokingly captioned a picture of the trio, “Fine calls us a throuple #foreverplusone.”

Peltz Beckham affirmed her support of the idea, replying, “Facts 💘💘💘🤣,” in the comments.

In a March 2023 interview with Cosmopolitan UK, Peltz Beckham spoke about her bond with Gomez. “We just clicked and had the best time,” the model said.

She went on to call Gomez “truly one of the most amazing people I’ve ever met in my whole life” and “the kindest person ever.”

“I feel like I’ve known her forever,” the actress added.
