Shawn Mendes And Camila Cabello’s ‘Special Connection’ Explained After Their PDA At Coachella

Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello’s relationship has been explained following their PDA-packed reunion at Coachella. The former lovebirds reportedly always have “a special connection” to each other following their split more than one year ago.

“They have been friendly for several months and hung out,” a so-called insider tells PEOPLE. “They always seemed to have a special connection.”

Another source tells a similar story of the celebrity exes, revealing that the 24-year-old Canadian star and the 26-year-old Cuban-born artist remain friends, but they are not back together as a couple. “Shawn and Camila remain friends with a lot of love and history between them, but they aren’t dating again,” the insider tells Page Six.

The source claims that the Coachella met-up was planned, sharing, “They’ve stayed in touch since their breakup and decided to meet up at Coachella since they were both going.” However, while the source says “one thing led to another as the night progressed,” the “Senorita” collaborators’ kiss allegedly was “a one-off.”

Shawn and Camila were caught packing on the PDA while attending Coachella on Friday, April 14. During their reunion, the two were seen locking lips in front of other concertgoers. She also said something to Shawn and he responded with drink in hand.

However, the “Treat You Better” hitmaker appeared to send mixed signals later that night. In a video obtained by TMZ, the two were dancing on the Coachella grounds. They seemed got cozy with each other, with the “Havana” songstress putting her arms around her ex-boyfriend’s neck at one point in the clip.

But Camila’s seductive moves seemingly became a little too much to Shawn. At the end of the video, he was seen pushing her away when she was grinding on him. Shawn reportedly walked away from her after this, with Camila seemingly going after him.
