Two fierce rivals in the music industry, Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale, have expressed gratitude to the officers and men of the Ghana Police Service for their continuous efforts at ensuring peace between them.

The duo, who say they have been yearning for peace for a long time, expressed their happiness for the dedication by the Accra Regional Police Command to duty and the professional execution of their mandate.

Speaking at the Marriot Hotel where the two appeared in public together to hold a press conference to announce a truce and also announce a peace concert, Stonebwoy, born Livingstone Etse Satekla, noted that freedom was vital and the police needed to be given the needed respect.

“We have been yearning for peace for a long time. In freedom, creativity thrives and in peace, we all feel at ease to work. So thanks to the police, the Accra Regional Command and all his team members.

“These people really did a lot for us and contributed to this peace between my brother, Shatta Wale and I [sic],” Stonebwoy said.

“Yesterday the President said while addressing the flood issue in Canada, and one point I picked is, that our attitude really matters in addressing challenges so I urge that we all change our attitudes as a people and know that our laws work,” he stated.
