“There is nothing wrong in wanting a little enhancement” – Motilola Adekunle

Plastic surgery has become a norm among Nigerian celebrities and socialites now as the short cut to a ‘perfect body’. While many frown at the thought of it, others are willing to jump at it or accept its patrons.

Nollywood actress, Motilola Adekunle, is one of such persons who find nothing wrong with the phenomenon even though she wouldn’t in anyway consent to a change in gender.

There is nothing wrong in wanting a little enhancement; I don’t think there is anything wrong in it. What I am not comfortable with is how some people try to change their gender. I think I might give it a thought if I could afford plastic surgery, though it is not like there is any part of my body that I would like to alter or change.

The actress and filmmaker explained, but for her experience with caesarean section at child birth, she would have considered having a plastic surgery.

I don’t think I would want to go under the knife again in my entire life. If I didn’t have that experience, I probably would give plastic surgery a thought.

Motilola Adekunle has also been speaking about her career, family and social media.

My husband doesn’t dictate the roles I play in movies to me; I just know where to draw the line. I would reject roles because of my personality as a reserved lady, not because I’m married. I believe there is something unique about everybody. I am comfortable with my dark skin, I have never thought of bleaching.

Asked if she minds her daughter taking after her career, she registered her unflinching support even though she was certain, her husband might kick against the idea.

I would be very excited if my daughter decided to become an actress like me. I will make sure she doesn’t make the same mistakes I made. However, I don’t think my husband will be in support of her going into acting.

The actress again noted, her reserved nature makes her want to hold back but her career needs continue to expose her.

If I wasn’t an actress, I don’t think I would be on social media. My husband is a very private person. My kids didn’t ask me to be an actress, so I respect their privacy a lot. I want it to be their decision to be on social media.
