23 NFL seasons and retirement later, Tom Brady still looks like he’s in top form.

In a recent interview with People the football legend disclosed the diet and regimen behind his fitness.

“I don’t think it’s a strict regimen,” Brady told the outlet. “I think it’s just trying to make healthy choices that allow me to live the life I want to live.”

The 45-year-old NFL champion abstains from consuming processed sugar, salt, caffeine white flour and dairy among other items. Earlier, the NFL star revealed he follows the TB12 diet which is comprised of around 80% of vegetables and 20% of meat.

“I think what I put in my body is very important,” Brady said, emphasising that he also stays active.

“I still want to maintain,” he said. “I’ve developed so many healthy habits, I just want to stick with them.”

Tom Brady who turns 46 in August told ET he’s not thinking about the day.

“I don’t know. I don’t know what my plans are for the birthday yet,” said Brady. “I’m trying to let them come and go at this point.”

“I feel like every day is a birthday for me,” he added.

“I just get to wake up and get to do what I love to do and be with my family and be with my friends and try to do good things in the community.”

For Brady, getting together with his family is more enjoyable than any celebration.

“I always love my time with my kids, and my family is my number one priority,” he said.
