Travis Kelce Rocks Chain Necklace and All-Black Outfit amid Reputation (Taylor’s Version) Speculation

Travis Kelce’s game-day-eve “drip” might be Taylor Swift-coded once again.

The NFL tight end, 34, landed in Baltimore on Saturday ahead of Sunday’s Chiefs-Ravens matchup wearing an all-black look.

The only non-black part of his outfit was a silver chain necklace that looked curiously like the chain necklace his superstar girlfriend Swift, 34, wore on the cover of her 2017 Reputation album. Fans and critics alike suspect that Reputation will be the next album she will rerecord and release as part of her Taylor’s Version blitz to reclaim her music catalog.

Kelce stepped off his team’s plane wearing a black double-breasted suit jacket, black pants and black boots. He accessorized with a black beanie, black sunglasses and a black duffle bag.

The Kansas City Chiefs’ official Instagram account posted Kelce’s look and his teammates’ outfits in a series of photos on Saturday, captioning the slideshow, “Road trip drip.”

Ahead of last week’s Chiefs-Bills game, Kelce arrived in Buffalo, New York, in a multicolored striped turtleneck under a mustard yellow suit, reminding people of the striped top and yellow pants that Swift rocked in her 2022 “Anti-Hero” music video.

Kelce’s look before Sunday’s AFC Championship game might signal his support of Swift’s impending Reputation (Taylor’s Version) release, which Swifties hope comes out this year as the Grammy winner continues her global Eras Tour.

On the album cover for the original Reputation release, Swift paired her chain necklace with a gray Pinko sweater featuring holes stitched together with metal chains.

Kelce’s chain necklace stands out amid the all-black outfit and resembles Swift’s on the album cover. Reputation is often synonymous with the color black and snake emblems.

Swift appears to be using her recent outfits to hint that Reputation (Taylor’s Version) is next. At the end of 2023, she also described to TIME the forthcoming rerelease as “a goth-punk moment of female rage at being gaslit by an entire social structure.”

During this NFL season and post-season, the “End Game” singer has supported Kelce in person at 11 games, with the Chiefs winning eight of those games.
