Travis Kelce Says Taylor Swift’s 2024 Grammys Look Was ‘Fresh’: ‘I Liked That’

Taylor Swift’s big night at the 2024 Grammys made Travis Kelce proud for more than one reason.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end raved about the strapless Schiaparelli gown Swift wore to the event while speaking with reporters on Tuesday.

“Oh, that was fresh. I liked that,” said Kelce.

The white floor-length dress had a thigh-high slit that gave a peak at her black open-toe heels and white nail polish. The singer paired the look with black opera gloves, a layered necklace, and a custom-made Lorraine Schwartz vintage watch that was worn as a choker.

“It’s all about the accessories when you go to an awards show like that,” he told reporters. “She killed it.”

The athlete previously showed his support for the look by liking a photo of Swift wearing the dress on Instagram.

From owning a sportswear brand to rocking his fair share of stylish outfits at events and game days, Kelce has often been vocal about his love of fashion.

During an appearance on the Jan. 31 episode of The Pat McAfee Show, the NFL star said he’s ready to go all out with his 2024 Super Bowl game day look.

“I’ve got a few different things that I’ve got in the closet that I might pull out. But you already know, man, we’re in Vegas, baby, the lights are on,” said Kelce, noting that he “might have to bring out all the bells and whistles.”

Kelce took his love of fashion a step forward by gifting Swift a personalized “TNT” friendship bracelet designed by Wove Made Inc. Jewelers.

CEO Simone Kendle told PEOPLE that the custom tennis bracelet was handcrafted using 14K yellow gold and includes 4.62 carats of lab-grown diamonds adorned with custom TNT yellow gold “beads, which are encrusted with sparkling pave diamonds.”

Although Kelce also ordered a matching one for himself, Swift was first seen wearing the bracelet while celebrating with Kelce on the field following his AFC championship win.

“The first time we saw the bracelet was when the rest of the world saw it too! We had all but given up on ever seeing her spotted in the bracelet until THAT infamous hug. As she wrapped her arms around Travis to congratulate him, a member from our team spotted the bracelet peeking out from her sweater and rang the alarm,” Kendle told PEOPLE.
