Travis Scott’s ‘Utopia’ Dropping This Summer, Says Epic Records Boss
Travis Scott’s highly-anticipated Utopia album is finally on the release calendar and Epic Records CEO Sylvia Rhone teased the project for the end of 2023’s quarter two.
Billboard named Rhone their Executive of the Year for the publication’s 2023 Women In Music event and spoke to her about plans for the year in the label’s Hip Hop department, which included La Flame.
“We have a new Travis Scott record, expected to come in June,” she revealed earlier on Thursday (February 23).
Fans were excited at the release date for Trav’s fourth album coming from the high-profile executive, but are still taking it with a grain of salt with Scott’s unpredictability.
Although, the Houston rager has been more vocal when it comes to Utopia, which he teased at a performance earlier this month explaining he’d be dropping after the rest of his Cactus Jack signees do.

Travis added more fuel to the fire when he hyped up Utopia after fans asked him when it was coming at his 2023 Cactus Jack Foundation HBCU Celebrity Softball Classic at Minute Maid Park last week.
“That muthafucka’s on the way,” he responded from the field.
La Flame teamed up with Pharrell in November for his “Down in Atlanta” single in November. Last year, Scott also previewed possible Utopia collabs with Future, Lil Uzi Vert and Kid Cudi.
Scott is attempting to rebound professionally after tragedy struck the opening night of the Astroworld Festival in his hometown of Houston in November of 2021. Eight people died and hundreds were injured after the crowd of approximately 50,000 concert attendees started flooding the NFG Stadium stage.
Travis Scott came under fire for continuing to perform for 37 minutes after emergency personnel declared a “mass casualty event.” The rapper said in an Instagram video he wasn’t aware of the “severity” of the situation until after the show was cut short.
