Avery tall, very rich, very famous American has sent the Australian public into a tizzy. So has Taylor Swift.
Travis Kelce touched down in Sydney Thursday to join girlfriend Swift in the city where she’s scheduled to perform her next run of shows on her Eras Tour, a transportation moment that was breathlessly covered by Australian media who were just about 50-50 on which emerging passenger was actually Kelce. (Ross Travis, a fellow tight end who is currently a free agent and who watched the recent Super Bowl alongside Swift in Kelce’s suite, is traveling with Kelce.)
Yes, now that Kelce is officially in the off-season, it would appear that it’s his turn once again to play the part of adoring boyfriend cheering from the stands in international locations. Consider it an encore of his Argentina moment with Swift in 2023: The Kansas City Chiefs tight end-slash-guy with a podcast, who recently won his third Super Bowl title, has joined Swift Down Under. Sydney operates 19 hours ahead of Las Vegas, but we can only hope that Kelce has taken a page from Swift’s book and adopted her philosophy that “jet lag is a choice.” After all, if she can make it from Tokyo to Vegas and still look sharp while cheering him on at the Super Bowl (and slamming unspecified beverages), it makes sense that Kelce can pull it together to feed some kangaroos.
Which, yep, he did! Snaps captured at a distance showed a jorts-clad Swift and Kelce canoodling, taking selfies, and even feeding kangaroos right out of their own very valuable hands Thursday at the Sydney Zoo. Oh, and for those fans still holding out hope for a Reputation (Taylor’s Version) announcement, here’s a fact for your dossier: The Sydney Zoo is home to Australia’s largest reptile and nocturnal house. That’s right: Snakes. Snakes happened. Take what you can get.
In fact, the Sydney Zoo is so nice that Swift visited it twice: Ahead of her private tour with Kelce on Thursday, Swift reportedly took in the creatures on Wednesday as well. Gotta get that koalaty time in when you can, right?
Representatives for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce did not immediately respond to requests for comment about Kelce’s future travel plans.
