Singer Wizkid has emerged as the first African musician to hit 8 million monthly listeners on Spotify.

He has now edged out Congolese artiste Maitre Gims, who was the previous record holder with 7 million monthly streams.

Wizkid’s win was obviously booted by his recent collaborations with DJ Spinall and Tiwa Savage on the song ‘Dis Love’ and also duet with Kojo Funds on “Like”.
