Snoop Dogg Reunites With Childhood Friends To Recreate Old Photo From 1980s
Snoop Dogg has taken a trip down memory lane with some childhood friends by reuniting to recreate a photo from their younger days.
Tha Doggfather shared footage of the weekend meet-up on his Instagram page on Sunday (January 8), showing the longtime friends embracing one another and posing for the camera at an undisclosed location in Los Angeles, California.
One post in particular showed a side-by-side comparison of Snoop and his four friends, with a mere 35 years difference between the two photos. “5 friends who remained solid and stayed true 1988 on the left. 2023 on the right. Love y’all cuz,” the West Coast rap legend wrote in his caption.
In another post, Snoop posed for a class picture with his friends and fellow alumni from Polytechnic High School in Long Beach. Snoop graduated from the school in 1989 and embarked on his legendary rap career a few years later.

Snoop Dogg was also classmates with Warren G and Nate Dogg at Poly High, as well as actress Cameron Diaz, who he allegedly sold weed to back in the day.
Diaz spoke on what it was like going to the same school as Snoop during an interview with George Lopez in 2011, saying: “We went to high school together, he was a year older than me. I remember him there…He was very tall and skinny, wore lots of ponytails…And I’m pretty sure I bought weed from him.”
Snoop Dogg has been in a reflective mood of late. During an appearance on the Let’s Go! podcast with Tom Brady, Larry Fitzgerald and Jim Gray in December, the Long Beach native recalled getting high with country legend Willie Nelson in Amsterdam — the cannabis capital of Europe — on 4/20.
“With Willie fucking Nelson,” he said when asked about the most stoned he’s ever been. “We was in Amsterdam on 4/20 and he was doing a concert out there. He performed on the 19th and I performed on the 20th. So we went back to his hotel room and we was playing dominoes. Willie had a vape, a joint, I had a blunt and he had a pipe.
“So me and him were playing dominoes one-on-one. He whooping my ass, and I’m just getting higher and higher and higher. And he just keep passing it to me, and I’m like, ‘This old muthafucka’s outsmoking me,’ and I’m trying to stop but I can’t ’cause I don’t wanna show no signs of weakness.”
Snoop went on to explain how he persuaded Willie Nelson to get some chicken from KFC and told a funny story about when the food arrived.
“15 minutes into the session, I say, ‘Willie, let’s get something to eat, man,’” he said. “And we go to Kentucky Fried Chicken, right, so we in the back of the van and when they bring the chicken from the drive-thru, they give it to us and me and Willie put our hands in the bucket at the same time.
“And we grab the same piece of chicken, Tom. And I look at him and say, ‘It’s yours, cuz.’”
