Simi calls on Nigerians to fix the image of the country

Sensational singer Simi has called on Nigerians to stop waiting for the government to fix the poor image of the country.

The singer went on a social media rant telling fans what Nigerians need to do I order to clear its name from the bad books of other countries.

According to Simi, the only reason why Nigerians go through so much scrutiny when traveling to other countries is because they know what Nigerians are capable of.

Nigerians over the years have been tagged with most criminal activities by immigrants living abroad. It is also one of the most mentioned countries in the world when the topic of cybercrime comes up.

The wife of Adekunle Gold recalled how easy it was for Nigerians to travel abroad several years ago citing her mother as an example that she got her visa on arrival in the UK but that cannot happen now because the laws have become stricter for Nigerians.

Simi called on Nigerians to fix the image of the country since they are both the problem and the solution they need to change the fate of the country.

We need to fix our country, fix our image – because the only reason the Nigerian passport is going through so much scrutiny is because of what they assume we're ALL capable of. The more desperate we are to go there, the less likely they want us there and vice versa! @MBuhari

Previously, the privileged were quiet because they could somehow find a way. Now, everybody is affected! I feel like if we let it go too bad, it'll take even longer to repair. I'm tired. Even talk is too much – we need people with good hearts that really can be the change.
